Is Black Friday Shopping Really Worth It?

Black Friday: the day you either despise or absolutely love. The large crowds, the hustle and bustle, and early morning does seem intriguing to people (maybe it’s a way of people burning off their Thanksgiving calories). At any rate, is the holiday really all it’s hyped up to be? Sure there are deals, but we also have CyberMonday thanks to modern day technology. It’s also important to remember that due to COVID-19, stores are not at their full capacity, so will Black Friday be the same?

In case you need a reason to stay in this Black Friday, we created a few reasons on why staying in might be best while also finding other ways to save money on gifts in the comfort of your own home.

CyberMonday

You love, I love it, and we want more of it! CyberMonday is basically Black Friday shopping minus all the craziness of what Black Friday can entail. Who wouldn’t want to shop comfortably with a hot chocolate in their hands? It’s also likely that CyberMonday won’t just be on Monday. Do your research on stores you want to buy from; it may surprise you that the deals aren’t just for one day!

Shopping the web

Ah, yes, online shopping, the invention that changed lives, for better or for worse. If crowds aren’t your cup of tea, big-box retailers are now offering Black Friday deals online for the needs of their consumers.

Walmart’s Online Black Friday Sale Event

Walmart got ahead of the game and decided to have Black Friday deals all November long! If you are looking for personal technology devices, TVs, homeware items, or clothing, Walmart is the place to shop! Shop online for more details.

Target’s Pre-Black Friday Sale

Similar to Walmart’s Black Friday deal, Target is doing competitive deals on Beats headphones, loungewear, Apple watches, and AirPods. These are stellar deals you don’t want to miss!

Amazon: When isn’t there a sale?

Amazon, the creator of the convenient two day shipping, is always having deals, regardless of it being Black Friday. For this holiday season, you can save on products ranging from personal fitness, electronics, and toys and games! Make sure to browse through all of what Amazon is offering for great deals.

Deals, deals, and more deals. This is a shopper’s paradise for this holiday season. Black Friday may not be worth it for some and may be just as worth it for others. If you are unsure if Black Friday is really worth it, it may be wise to look at other avenues for holiday shopping this year. Deals are deals- no matter where you find them!

At SRCU, we wish you a safe and happy holiday this Thanksgiving. Although we may not be able to have everyone at the table this year, it is important to remember that the season of gratitude is among us. Let’s acknowledge and be grateful for good health, happiness, and a bright future for all.
